* At least 5 years of experience working as a Software Engineer
 * Advanced Java/Spring Boot programming experience
 * Proficiency in automation and CI/CD methods and tools (Jenkins/Spinnaker)
 * Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
 * Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
 * Advanced understanding of agile methodologies
 * Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
 * Practical cloud native experience (AWS, Azure)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 * Experience with and knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
 * Experience with various testing methodologies (TDD, BDD, Unit, Contract, Component, Performance, Resilience Testing)
 * Experience with various testing tools and frameworks (Junit, Pact/Pactflow, Cucumber, Karate, JMeter/Blazemeter, Gremlin, Mockito, Wiremock, Hoverfly)
 * Experience using AI assistants (Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor)

* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
 * Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
 * Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
 * Participates in design sessions to drive outcome-oriented solutions regarding architectural designs and technical solutions
 * Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
