* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline.
 * At least three years of directly related software engineering experience.
 * Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
 * Proficiency in modern C++ and object-oriented design and development.
 * Experience developing software for real-time embedded hardware systems.
 * Understanding of software requirements, architecture, functional decomposition, subsystem interfaces, and technology analysis.
 * Experience with Windows, Unix, or Linux operating systems.
 * Experience with software engineering processes and source-code control tools.
 * Experience with Eclipse, Jira, DOORS, Git, or Bitbucket.
 * Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
 * Strong technical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
 * Motivation to learn, innovate, and continuously improve existing products.

## Description

HEPCO is seeking a Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer for our client. This is a temp-to-permanent position requiring 100% onsite work due to the nature of the program.

 * Analyze, design, develop, and modify complex embedded software, primarily using modern C++.
 * Evaluate complex software designs and identify potential design flaws.
 * Prepare software design documentation in accordance with established processes.
 * Develop within Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
 * Work with embedded targets ranging from ARM processors to high-performance x86-64 CPUs and GPUs.
 * Integrate and test software within designated target environments.
