You should take pride in responding quickly and effectively to all support requirements and take an open approach to help everyone get the best out of the school's IT Systems. You will also have a passion for continuous learning, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Essential: - Experience working within an ITIL Aligned Service Desk or support environment utilising a ticketing tool - Basic functional knowledge of Windows 10/11 - Basic functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (desktop and cloud based) - Ability to install and manage computer hardware and peripherals in an education focused environment - Basic fault finding skills and the ability to problem solve within a technical environment Desirable: - Industry Standard IT certification, including CompTIA (A+, ITF+), Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), M365 Fundamentals, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) - Basic knowledge of Active Directory (User accounts/Groups etc) - Basic knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP) - Basic knowledge of Windows based domain administration ## Description This role will mainly be based at Wayland Academy, Merton Rd, Watton, Thetford, IP25 6BA, however the successful candidate must be able to travel independently to multiple locations, as you may need to support or cover other schools from time to time as directed by the Central IT Team. Working hours will normally be between 8:30 and 16:30 Monday to Friday. You may be required to work flexible hours for Ofsted inspections and out of hours activities as agreed with the school. We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable, dynamic and responsible person to work as an ICT Technician at Wayland Academy to provide installation, maintenance development and administrative support for the school's IT resources.
