We take ownership of the end-to-end live monitoring experience -- from a Living Room device, through our encoding and analysis platform, out through to our Live Ops AVOCs (Amazon Video Operation Centres). If you crave a sense of ownership, this is the place to be. - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby - Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment - Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes - Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets - Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making - Experience in network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP) - Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure - Experience with automation and any version control tools, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems and experience in web security - Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology - Knowledge of a front-end language (Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.) - Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react ## Description Design and implement systems that support the Prime Video's Live OTT delivery - Develop tooling and automation to scale Prime Video Live Operations - Grow monitoring capabilities and systems reliability - Develop operational metrics and maintain service level agreements - Provide escalation support for incoming trouble tickets - Work with other teams and engineers to integrate into the greater Live Ops environment A day in the life Your morning starts by reviewing operational dashboards and alerts, ensuring live services are healthy. When issues arise-latency spikes, availability drops-you collaborate with the team to diagnose and resolve them quickly. Mid-morning shifts to development: enhancing automation scripts, improving device monitoring workflows, and testing changes in staging environments to reduce manual intervention during live events.
