## About the Role

* A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
 * Experience of Java or other JVM based language, experience with Spring framework and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals.
 * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
 * Experience with machine learning basics (data pipelines, feature engineering, recall/precision, familiarity with machine learning systems in production) is a huge plus
 * Being able to work independently on customer problems is a key to success - you take responsibility and end-to-end ownership of your projects: drive and own them to make sure we hit the goals we want to achieve
 * Close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams is a must have and is something to expect to happen on a daily basis.
 * Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
 * Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas
 * You enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development
 * You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback.

## Description

You will design and build reliable, scalable systems supporting business onboarding and verification across Europe and the UK.

 * Build and improve systems for verifying businesses, owners, directors and other associated parties.
 * Automate information collection, verification and decision-making to reduce onboarding time and manual work.
 * Create flexible onboarding journeys that adapt to different markets, business types and regulatory requirements.
 * Develop effective controls and monitoring to manage financial-crime and compliance risks with minimal customer friction.
 * Own projects end to end, from problem discovery and technical design through to delivery and measuring impact.
 * Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations and other engineering teams while maintaining high standards for reliability, testing and code quality.
