## Description

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong, remote software engineer with in-depth experience developing and supporting Java Cloud platforms as part of a large-scale modernization and migration effort.

The Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for leading design and development efforts to support a Java migration, moving on-prem legacy applications to a new, cloud platform.

Duties:

 * Participate in discovery and stakeholder meetings to understand business and functional requirements needed in order to design best fit solutions.
 * Assist architects in design and technical decision making, addressing potential concerns and roadblocks while also ensuring client requirements align with the technology in use.
 * Lead planning activities and support stakeholder communications.
 * Design and develop Java Spring APIs and review existing architecture, making changes and recommendations as needed.
 * Integrate cloud services to support computing, storage, and serverless functions. Additionally, write and implement IaC using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure.
 * Review CI/CD pipelines, working with Jenkins and Github to ensure smooth deployments.
 * Support the integration of security tools and reporting dashboards to support DevSecOps initiatives and overall security posture for the client platform.
 * Oversee code reviews and mentor junior developers on cloud-native best practices.
 * Research and evaluate new technologies to support continuous improvement
