These skills include but are not limited to: + TCP/IP and MPLS fundamentals + IP/Routing experience (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, Routing Policy) + Routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms + Routing policies at BGP peering points + VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, MVPN.) + Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, QoS + Class of service * Background in automation with Ansible, YAML, and HPE Juniper PyEZ. * Experience writing automation scripts in Python. * Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences. * Ability to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions. * Assisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network. * Strong customer interface and presentation skills. * Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business. * Expert-level technical certifications (JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, and CCIE) are a strong plus. Education and Experience Required: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. * Typically 6-10 years experience. Knowledge and Skills: * Using and evaluating appropriate engineering design tools and software packages to design components and solutions. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. * Conducting reviews of material specifications and hardware, software, and electrical component design. * Evaluating forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels. ## Description * Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and open and track JTAC cases to resolve problems on pre- and post-production issues. * To hold network information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer's existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs. * To understand the Customer's organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer's network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in supporting a network that is available and sustainable. * To produce a written summary report on the status of design projects, equipment, and network problems regularly to the customer. * To hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being tried. * To train the customer's design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the HPE Juniper Networks products. * To assist the customer in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures. * To assess the health of a network based on HPE Juniper products. * Development and maintenance of fault diagnosis procedures to support effective fault resolution. * Developing network operating procedures, configuration standards, and implementation plans for HPE Juniper products. * Support the production environment of HPE Juniper products within the customer infrastructure. * Support ongoing efforts in defining best-practice policies for HPE Juniper product applications used by the customer.
