Our team is passionate about uncovering the truth and providing our audience with information to help them navigate their lives. In this role, you will acquire, analyze and make public government data and information that serves the public interest, focusing on taxes, budgets, expenses and salary and compensation data from municipalities, schools and universities, state agencies, boards, districts and commissions. Working with reporters and editors in local newsrooms, you will be responsible for interpreting complex financial information and publishing databases in formats easily navigated by the public. You will spot local and national trends in the data, point newsrooms to unique stories and support presentation through smart visualizations. Along with data analysis and story development, you will work with product, audience, programming and AI teams to perfect the delivery and utility of government information shared on platform and across shared channels., * Retrieve and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. * Create visualizations and interactive graphics to accompany databases. * Verify the accuracy and integrity of data used in reporting. * Stay up to date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques.
