As a Software Engineering Manager you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team. Teams work all across the company, in areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, user interface design; the list goes on and is growing every day. In this role, you will work on low-level embedded software, new device bring-ups, and open-source technologies. You will manage a team of responsible for defining and implementing firmware features, improvements, and processes to help us scale. You will scope the work to develop bootloader and embedded controller software for a wide range of ChromeOS devices and contribute to open-source coreboot and Zephyr Operating System (Zephyr OS) projects. Throughout the development process, you will identify ways to improve the scalability and maintainability of our codebase while enhancing collaboration with external ODMs, OEMs, chip/System on a Chip (SOC) vendors, and global internal teams.
