## About the Role

* 5+ years of professional software development experience
 * Excellent knowledge of any modern programming language (Golang, C++, Python, Rust, Ruby, etc.)
 * Strong Linux knowledge
 * Experience with distributedcomputesystems (k8s,Slurm, LSF, etc.) or distributed architectures
 * Knowledge of messaging services (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, etc.)

## Description

Tesla vehicles get better through software long after they leave the factory. Turning that into a sustained advantage means thousands of engineers must be able to take new ideas through build, test, and packaging without the underlying systems becoming a bottleneck. When those shared systems slow down or grow unreliable, the entire organization loses momentum and the rate of real-world improvement drops. The Build Infrastructure team exists to keep that from happening by running a high-availability distributed compute platform across large clusters of machines. In this role you'll design and optimize the platform, schedulers, and frameworks that determine how efficiently every workload runs-directly shaping how quickly new capabilities reach the road and how rapidly the software behind autonomy can advance.
What You'll Do

 * Work on building a distributed compute system, running code on hundreds of bare metal & cloud servers
 * Make code more efficient to run, optimizing resources across the cluster, and speeding up the compute workloads we face
