## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
 * A minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution.
 * Master's degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience, * Linux
 * AWS, MASH, and VMs
 * Docker Swarm
 * Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)
 * Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
 * Ansible scripting and development
 * Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
 * Git

## Description

Captivation has built a reputation on providing customers exactly what is needed in a timely manner. Our team of engineers take pride in what they develop and constantly innovate to provide the best solution. Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country., Captivation Software has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support modernization effort to converge the agency's authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools. Responsibilities will include: deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.

Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 3-4 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. On average, the first team is paged for after-hours support approximately once every couple of months with most issues resolvable by phone.

Requirements
Security Clearance, * Python scripting and development

 * NiFi maintenance and configuration
 * Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
 * Java/Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
 * HAProxy
 * MongoDB
