Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties. * Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures. * Working skills in analysis and consultation. * Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing. * Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline. * Working skills in the appropriate use of technology and relevant software and scientific equipment as required (i.e., python) * Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and vulnerable populations. * Experience using SmartSheets or other project management software. * Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. * Experience working in Epic (or similar EHR system). Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in related area ## Description Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results., The lab's primary location is the Richmond Field Station in the East Bay. We are part of the Northern California Center of Occupational and Environmental Health and have a team of approximately 20 students and staff at any given time. Our program prepares students from engineering, public health, and medicine in human factors and ergonomics, with a focus on understanding the relationship between biomechanical exposures and injuries and on reducing injuries through prevention-through-design strategies., Identify the functions or tasks that employees in the job perform. The essential functions should state the purpose of the work and the results to be accomplished, rather than how the function is performed. Of the tasks listed, what percentage of time is devoted to each? The more time employees spend on a function, the more likely it is that the function is essential.
