For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments). The student hourly must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Employment Conditions (1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR. ## Description 30% - Provide support to campus support staff when requested. 20% - Install, upgrade, image, and configure computer hardware and software. 20% - Troubleshoot hardware and software issues. 10% - Maintain accurate hardware inventory. 10% - Provide basic technical support via phone, email, chat, or in person. 5% - Create and update support tickets in ticket management system. 5% - Perform special projects and other duties as assigned., The Student IT Support Technician position is responsible for working as a part of a team to provide technical support for end users at the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. Office support hours vary by day between 8:00 AM and 10:30 PM, but schedule is negotiable based on availability outside classes. The work location is on-site at the Edward Campus in Overland Park, Kansas.
