Desirable Requirements * Knowledge of PSSE, MATLAB / Simulink and any other system study software. * Competency in Python coding. * Experience of working on Traction simulation studies. ## Description You might know us for the great work we do across our wide variety of projects. If you have a keen interest in the complex challenges the energy sector and achieving NetZero has to offer, you could be working with a variety of clients as a Senior Power System Studies Engineer within our Energy Networks team based from Epsom, Leeds, Birmingham, or Glasgow. Your role * In depth knowledge of conducting simulations and analytical studies for Offshore Wind projects, load and generation interconnection, integration of renewables. * Able to prepare simulation study models and carry out power system studies including but not limited to. Grid compliance studies for Offshore Wind projects, Solar, BESS and Hybrid projects. Steady state and Dynamic power flow analysis. * Fault Ride Through studies. Short circuit calculation. * Power quality analysis. Electro Magnetic Transient Analysis (EMTP) such as Switching and Lightning transient studies, Energization studies etc. Dynamic simulation of networks involving HVDC, FACTS and inverter-based generation.
