We currently use Astro and React, but prioritise selecting the right tool for each challenge over adherence to any single framework. * Turn design intent into polished, resilient interfaces, partnering closely with Product and Design. * Own responsive layouts, cross-browser compatibility and progressive enhancement across our brand portfolio. * Build accessibility (WCAG), Core Web Vitals, component quality and sensible front-end caching into everyday engineering decisions. Full-stack and edge delivery * Deliver features end to end across our Cloudflare Workers stack-API routes, edge logic, integrations-using Wrangler, D1, KV and R2. * Build and maintain integrations with forms, CRM and marketing tools such as HubSpot, and headless CMS platforms such as Storyblok. * Make sound architectural decisions on the edge platform, leveraging Cloudflare's caching, KV and CDN to keep our infrastructure lean. * Consider internationalisation and localisation as our products and edge logic adapt for different markets. AI-first, quality-first engineering * Use agentic AI tooling, including Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar, for scaffolding, refactoring, debugging and documentation. * Treat AI output as a starting point: run type-checks and tests, verify API and library claims against official documentation, and keep human judgement around any meaningful risk. * Write your own unit and component tests with Vitest, React Testing Library or similar, and partner with our Software Engineer in Test on end-to-end, visual regression and accessibility automation. * Integrate work cleanly through Git, GitHub Actions and our Jira-based Agile workflow, contributing thoughtfully to planning, stand-ups and retrospectives. Technical leadership and continuous improvement * Shape front-end and edge architecture through high-quality code, constructive reviews and mentoring by example, working with the Lead Frontend Engineer on strategic decisions. * Improve the codebase and team workflows, staying current with the front-end and AI landscape and bringing back credible, proven ideas. * Write clear, structured code and documentation that both people and AI agents can understand and work with., * Substantial hands-on experience as a front-end-focused full-stack engineer, with a track record of senior-level ownership. This is often built over five or more years, but depth and judgement matter more than an exact number. ## Related Videos - [Improving quality with Agentic AI with Rovo Dev and Xray](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2005-improving-quality-with-agentic-ai-with-rovo-dev-and-xray) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [But, you're not Facebook](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/378-but-you-re-not-facebook) - [Collaboration Quantified: Lessons from Open Source Developer Networks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1422-collaboration-quantified-lessons-from-open-source-developer-networks) - [Git for Code Reviews](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/429-git-for-code-reviews) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE – Frontend Inspirations, Web Standards and more](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1761-wearedevelopers-live-frontend-inspirations-web-standards-and-more) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 133 - Back to Front](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/474-dev-digest-133-back-to-front) - [Dev Digest 113 - Debugging above the cloud](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/422-dev-digest-113-debugging-above-the-cloud) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 131 - AI'm not sure about OSS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/472-dev-digest-131-ai-m-not-sure-about-oss)
