The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both digital and analog circuit design, excellent technical expertise in high-speed interfaces, embedded computer design, and in-depth knowledge of PCB design constraints, including stack-ups and manufacturing processes. This role requires someone who is not only technically proficient but also a strong leader capable of mentoring and guiding a team of less-experienced engineers while ensuring project timelines are met. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, maintaining team alignment, and reporting progress to upper management. Key Responsibilities + Design and develop digital and analog circuits for cutting-edge applications + Create and review schematics and ensure proper implementation within project constraints. + Work on high-speed interfaces, including evaluating signal integrity and ensuring compliance with design standards. + Develop and implement embedded computer system designs. + Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure designs meet constraints, including stack-up requirements, impedance control, routing, and manufacturability. + Provide guidance on PCB fabrication and assembly processes, ensuring designs meet quality and performance standards. + Provide technical guidance and training to junior and mid-level engineers to help them develop their skills, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation. + Take ownership of team deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard. + Drive hardware engineering projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapting as priorities shift. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, mechanical) to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions + Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies in hardware engineering. + Proactively identify areas for improvement in design processes and workflows to increase efficiency and quality.
