## About the Role

* U.S. Citizenship is required.
 * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar studies
 * Expert-level experience designing, configuring, and maintaining Proofpoint in an enterprise environment.
 * Deep understanding of mail transfer agents (MTA), Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway, and Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway 8.x.
 * Experience configuring Proofpoint firewall rules, maintaining block lists, and managing email quarantine and release requests.
 * Eight years of experience supporting Linux servers and VMware environments.

## Description

Lead the migration from on-premises IronPort email security appliances to Proofpoint's cloud-based email security solution.

 * Design, configure, administer, and maintain Proofpoint as an enterprise service.
 * Configure Proofpoint firewall rules and maintain block lists.
 * Respond to requests to quarantine or release email and troubleshoot message-delivery issues.
 * Coordinate migration activities to preserve email continuity and minimize operational disruption.
