**Published:** August 15, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.dice.com/job-detail/abaeea24-c26e-4192-ae53-2a80b4cdcdbb ## About the Role Required: * Bachelor's of Science degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering * 5+ years of post graduate professional engineering experience * Experience working a Linux environment * Proficiency in C++ or Java * Ability to travel to customer sites as needed * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance through the Department of Defense Preferred: * Proficiency with software development languages including: C++20, Java, Python, and bash * Familiarity with networking concepts * Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skill * Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g. CORBA, AMQP, DNS, DHCP, DDS, gRPC), programming (e.g. sockets), and troubleshooting tools (e.g. Wireshark) * Knowledge of software test philosophies, software test tools and test driven development * Knowledge of automated testing and mocking frameworks including google test and Junit * Experience with JavaFX framework * Understanding of Agile methodologies, JIRA and Gitlab * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines * Experience developing requirements documentation including specifications, test procedures, test reports and technical manuals * Familiarity with software deployment tools and concepts such as Ansible, containerization and virtualization * Cybersecurity related certification, training, or experience working in a STIG compliant environment Skills * Desire to practice ego-less programming by both giving and receiving constructive feedback * Willingness to work outside of software development comfort-zone and learn * Ability to troubleshoot system configuration, software and hardware problems * Strong organizational, communication, written, and interpersonal skills * Ability to function independently and collaborate with team members internal and external * Enthusiasm to be thorough by applying attention to detail, technical rigor, problem-solving, and multi-tasking to technical assignments * Ability to plan, organize, and schedule work * Willingness to take on, research, and solve challenging problems ## Related Videos -
