Additional Requirements and Details: · Travel required up to 10% of the time. · Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds. · Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.). · Frequent sitting and/or standing., The selected candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. ## Description As a Software Engineer II, you will help shape and improve the experience of Vertafore customers by developing and supporting high-quality software features across the MGA products platform. You will work cross-functionally with Customer Support, Account Management, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Product Development to understand customer and business needs and translate them into reliable, maintainable product solutions. You will work as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team of business analysts, software engineers, and quality assurance engineers. You will be responsible for independently completing assigned development work while collaborating with more senior engineers on broader design and architectural decisions. Success in this role requires clear and effective communication, strong technical fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering solutions that meet customer expectations with minimal defects or rework. Although developing and supporting software is the primary responsibility, engineers at Vertafore may also work with customer-facing teams to investigate technical issues and help improve the overall customer experience.
