Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and defect tracking software like Jira. Understand database administration, database design. Knowledge of quality processes and their implementation. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Decision making is focused on implementing practical, timely solutions. PTC Windchill Test Automation Tester builds and runs automated scripts to validate PTC Windchill PLM software. Focusing on out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality, this role ensures core features like part creation, BOM management, document control, and change workflows operate smoothly without relying heavily on custom code validation. You will execute one or more work streams and work with the corresponding Services teams for consulting and execution. You will receive work streams from team leadership and accomplish tasks with other project members. You will ensure your output is accurate and meet the defined quality. You will maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUNIT, Microsoft Playwright, TOSCA or Java/Python-based testing stacks tailored for enterprise web applications. You will Validate OOTB Features: Test standard Windchill modules (PDMLink, Change Management, Document Management) to verify baseline search, lifecycle transitions, and data structures. You will Execute Regression Testing: Run automated regression suites during system patches, minor updates, or major out-of-the-box software upgrades. You will Execute Functional Testing: for changes due to Standardization. You will Manage Test Data: Create and maintain standard OOTB test datasets (parts, CAD documents, users, and security groups) required for repeatable test execution. You will provide Documentation based on test execution. You will Integrate with CI/CD: Connect automated test suites into continuous integration pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
