Deep, hands-on experience with VNets, DNS, IP address planning, and network topology, and a feel for the decisions that are hard to reverse once a platform serves many teams. This is the part of the role we most need you to be strong in. Infrastructure-as-code with real state discipline. You think in terms of state, drift, and resource ownership, not just running deployments. We use Pulumi as our primary tool; experience with Terraform or Bicep transfers well. Governance and policy-as-code. Designing and enforcing guardrails at scale: policy, least-privilege identity, and secure-by-default automation, so the platform stays compliant as it grows. Ownership. Ability to lead smaller initiatives front to back with 1-2 engineers. Delivery fundamentals. CI/CD with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines, and comfort in at least one language such as Python, TypeScript, or C#. Nice to have (a genuine plus, but none is required and no one person is expected to have all) Databricks on Azure and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs). A working understanding of analytics and data-science workflows, enough to build the platform they run on. Exposure to AI services or AWS (for example Azure OpenAI, Azure Foundry, or AWS Bedrock). Useful context, not a selection criterion. Soft skills Abstract thinking, strong communication, motivation to improve processes, proactive, team player. Energy to engage with users of vastly different backgrounds almost daily. Eager to keep learning, because this field is anything but static. Good command of English. Dutch is purely optional. ## Related Videos - [Why segmenting your infrastructure into tiers makes your infrastructure design better](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1960-why-segmenting-your-infrastructure-into-tiers-makes-your-infrastructure-design-better) - [Back(end) to the Future: Embracing the continuous Evolution of Infrastructure and Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/440-back-end-to-the-future-embracing-the-continuous-evolution-of-infrastructure-and-code) - [Infrastructure as Code: The Developer's Secret Weapon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1221-infrastructure-as-code-the-developer-s-secret-weapon) - [Inside Bitpanda's Tech Stack: Scaling a European Fintech Leader - Markus Dorner](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1979-inside-bitpanda-s-tech-stack-scaling-a-european-fintech-leader-markus-dorner) - [Terraform for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/3-terraform-for-developers) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) ## Related Articles - [How to land a developer job in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/36-how-to-land-a-developer-job-in-amsterdam) - [Best Companies in the Netherlands: Top 25 Companies in 2023 ](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/193-best-companies-in-the-netherlands-top-25-companies-in-2023) - [The Netherlands – Europe’s powerhouse for software development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/31-the-netherlands-europe-s-powerhouse-for-software-development) - [Software Developer Salary in The Netherlands [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/217-software-developer-salary-in-the-netherlands-2023) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [How to Find Tech Jobs in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/279-how-to-find-tech-jobs-in-amsterdam)
