This role requires strong hands-on expertise with networking technologies, lab infrastructure, automation, and cross functional collaboration. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable lab network environments that support engineering, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams. The individual will configure and manage a variety of network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers, while supporting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, and network virtualization technologies. They will troubleshoot complex network, hardware, and connectivity issues within lab environments and develop automation solutions for lab provisioning, configuration, and validation using scripting and automation tools. Additional responsibilities include managing the lab hardware lifecycle through rack-and-stack activities, cabling, power management, and inventory tracking. The role requires close collaboration with software, systems, and test teams to enable efficient development and testing workflows, as well as maintaining thorough documentation of lab designs, procedures, and operational best practices.
