## About the Role

Database Administrator (Oracle & SQL Server)'s Qualifications and Skills:

 * At least 5 years of hands-on experience administering both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server in production environments
 * Demonstrated expertise in SQL tuning and optimization, including execution plan analysis, index design, and query refactoring
 * Solid understanding of backup and recovery, high availability, and replication technologies (Data Guard, RAC, Always On Availability Groups, log shipping)
 * Experience with database security administration, patching, and upgrade lifecycle management
 * Proficiency in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python, shell scripting, T-SQL, PL/SQL)

## Description

Our client is seeking a Database Administrator (Oracle & SQL Server) to support and maintain critical database environments underpinning trading, risk, and back-office systems. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who takes ownership of issues through to resolution. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Database Administrator (Oracle & SQL Server)'s Responsibilities and Duties:

 * Administer, maintain, and monitor production and non-production Oracle and SQL Server environments
 * Perform SQL query tuning and optimization, including execution plan analysis, indexing strategy, and statistics management
 * Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve performance, connectivity, and availability issues
 * Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes, including regular DR testing
