## About the Role

Education: A Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience will be accepted as an equivalent.

Experience: At least three years of professional software development experience is required. This experience must include multi-threaded and distributed programming in Java or C++ on Linux, as well as strong knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java is required. Experience must involve JDBC, SQL, Object-Oriented design patterns, CI/CD, Git, and database technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Prior experience with event-driven architectures.
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation).
 * Knowledge of DevOps or SRE practices.
 * Experience with microservices and scalable backend systems.
 * Technical leadership experience.

## Description

* Design and build large-scale, distributed software systems.
 * Own the end-to-end delivery of services and system components.
 * Apply strong object-oriented design and system architecture principles.
 * Develop primarily in Java, with exposure to C++, Python, or TypeScript.
 * Work in Linux and cloud-native environments.
 * Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
 * Collaborate across engineering, product, and technical teams.
 * Produce clear technical documentation.
