## About the Role

* Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, etc., degree or a related field of study,
 * High proficiency in design and prototyping tools, like Figma
 * Knowledge of latest accessibility standards
 * Experience with CSS and HTML skills building responsive websites
 * Experience with Drupal, WordPress, or other similar CMS is a plus

 * Solid experience with AI-assisted design tools is a plus
 * Comfortable receiving feedback and translating it into actionable design improvements
 * Ability to shift between multiple projects and product integrations quickly
 * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

## Description

Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is hiring an UI/UX Designer. GPB is one of the most visited websites among public media systems. The ideal candidate will design and support GPB's website, apps, and other digital properties that use HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies to integrate data from our CMS to create world-class modern experiences. The UI/UX Designer's work will be widely visible and will be working in a rapidly evolving media organization. The UI/UX Designer will report to the Senior Director of Platforms and Products. GPB is a statewide dual licensee comprised of 9 PBS television stations and 22 NPR radio stations that broadcast across the state of Georgia.

Candidate Responsibilities:

 * Leads in designing core business components utilizing industry-accepted analysis and design standards
 * Creates and designs pixel-perfect website designs/mockups, app layouts, AR/VR experiences, printed collateral, and promotional materials
 * Responsible for interpreting and carrying out the understanding of client requirements and organizational direction
 * Architects maintainable responsive designs and experiences utilizing Adobe Creative Suite
 * Looks at opportunities to improve current templates and designs to keep up with the latest standards and trends
 * Translates designs into developer-ready handoffs, including clear specs, assets, and annotations
