Brand: Gilat Satellite Networks What you will do: Avionics Systems & Technical Leadership * Provide technical leadership for avionics systems integration, validation, and verification activities. * Lead development of customer, system and component level test plans and cases for airborne and ground-based avionics applications. * Translate customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into robust, test suites. * Design, develop, and manage system integration, verification, and validation infrastructure. * Serve as a technical authority and advisor to management and customers on avionics systems IV&V topics. * Ensure adherence to applicable aviation standards, certification objectives, and industry best practices for safety and quality. Delivery, Integration & Certification Support * Own the system delivery for the overall system, including hardware and software elements, ensuring commitments for quality are met. * Lead resolution of technical challenges encountered during integration and verification phases. * Plan and coordinate system integration and validation activities, including interface definition and test strategies. * Support certification and compliance activities by ensuring proper requirements traceability, verification planning, test execution, and documentation. * Oversee maintenance, debugging, and updates of deployed avionics solutions to ensure continued airworthiness and operational viability. * Develop long-range technical roadmaps covering platforms, architectures, tools, testing strategies, and documentation needs. * Ensure accurate, timely technical and program reporting. * Develop tools to enhance qualification tech data packages by the use of automation Team & People Management * Lead, coach, and develop the Systems Engineering team, fostering a strong safety-first and quality-driven engineering culture. * Define annual objectives, conduct performance reviews, and identify training and development needs. * Promote consistent application of corporate processes, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Manage the team's budget and support major technical and investment decisions.
