Working closely with Product Managers, developers, UX, QA, and business stakeholders, the PO translates strategic objectives into clear, actionable user stories, guides delivery execution, and drives continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. This role sits at the centre of a broader platform transformation. We are continuing to enhance and deliver business value on our existing systems while iteratively modernising our technology landscape to support greater scalability, performance, and innovation. This creates a unique opportunity to balance short-term delivery with long-term evolution - shaping solutions that meet current business needs while progressively enabling a more modern, resilient, and flexible platform. Role Responsibilities * Own and prioritise the Product Backlog, ensuring user stories are clearly defined, actionable, and meet the Definition of Ready. * Translate business needs and product strategy into deliverable features, maintaining strong alignment to measurable outcomes. * Collaborate closely with Product Managers to align delivery with product vision and roadmap. * Support development teams by clarifying requirements, providing business context, and guiding sprint objectives. * Lead creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artefacts (e.g., workflows, mock-ups). * Actively engage with business stakeholders, including front-office users, to gather feedback and refine solutions. * Apply customer-centric thinking using data, feedback, and usability insights to validate priorities. * Coordinate cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment. * Drive Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritisation reviews. * Review prototypes, proofs of concept, and delivered increments to ensure alignment with business needs. * Support UAT and ensure functional outcomes meet customer and business expectations. * Take ownership of delivery outcomes, ensuring committed scope is delivered and blockers are actively managed. ## Related Videos - [Stop Renaming Teams, Start Product Thinking: A PM's Guide to Platform-as-a-Product](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100342-stop-renaming-teams-start-product-thinking-a-pm-s-guide-to-platform-as-a-product) - [Boost Productivity with AI: Figma & Playwright MCP Workflows - Aris Markogiannakis](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1768-boost-productivity-with-ai-figma-playwright-mcp-workflows-aris-markogiannakis) - [Keeping applications secure by evolving OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100152-keeping-applications-secure-by-evolving-oauth-2-0-and-openid-connect) - [The user in the eye of the Cargo1492 storm](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/96-the-user-in-the-eye-of-the-cargo1492-storm) - [Designing the Future of Human<>Agent Collaboration](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1447-designing-the-future-of-human-agent-collaboration) - [Delay the AI Overlords: How OAuth and OpenFGA Can Keep Your AI Agents from Going Rogue](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1637-delay-the-ai-overlords-how-oauth-and-openfga-can-keep-your-ai-agents-from-going-rogue) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Best Companies to work for in London: Top 25 Companies in 2023](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/187-best-companies-to-work-for-in-london-top-25-companies-in-2023) - [The Biggest German Tech Companies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/424-the-biggest-german-tech-companies) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [E-Commerce in the Agentic Age: When "Buy" Becomes a Function Call](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/750-e-commerce-in-the-agentic-age-when-buy-becomes-a-function-call) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs)
