## About the Role

* NETA Level III or Level IV Certification (current and in good standing)
 * 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments
 * Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards
 * Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF, and equivalent
 * Strong understanding of protective relay schemes and coordination
 * Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs
 * Valid driver's license with clean driving record
 * Willingness to travel regionally (up to 75%)

Preferred:

 * NETA Level IV Certification
 * NICET Certification
 * Experience with SF6 breaker maintenance
 * Power systems engineering or related degree
 * Prior leadership/supervisory experience on testing projects
 * Experience in data center, utility, or industrial critical power environments, No calls or agencies please. Vertiv will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. ## Description

* Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV
 * Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis
 * Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based)
 * Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers
 * Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations
 * Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions
 * Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field
 * Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams
 * Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements
