## About the Role

2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience

 - 2+ years of computer networking experience
 - High school or equivalent diploma
 - Experience working with Linux operating systems
 - Valid and active driver's license
 - Ability to cover 24/7 shift rotation

Preferred Qualifications

 - Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
 - Experience with TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP
 - Experience with a ticket-driven workload
 - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
 - Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
 - Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members

## Description

* Serve as a senior technical escalation point for the operations team
 * Maintain a high level of system (Server/Network) reliability by prioritising and resolving trouble tickets efficiently
 * Share knowledge and help educate less technical staff on best practices
 * Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs
 * Triage and resolve trouble tickets for all devices in your region
 * Be the Data Centre point of contact for all High Severity issues
 * Participate in and deliver on high-impact small to mid-scale projects
 * Help define metrics to increase customer uptime
 * Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the Amazon hiring process/candidate interviews
 * Deep dive into server issues and perform remediation of physical layer outages (Systems & Network)
