## About the Role

+ BS Civil Engineer or related field with 6 years of related experience or equivalent experience and/or education

 + US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects

 + Valid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred Qualifications:

 + Professional Engineer License

 + Project Management experience - personnel, budget, and client management

 + 10+ years of roadway design experience

 + Projects with TDOT, TN municipalities, or other state DOTs

 + Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment

 + MicroStation/GeoPak and/or OpenRoads or similar design applications

 + Successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn

## Description

**AECOM** is actively seeking **Senior Roadway Design Engineers** to join a dynamic and highly technical team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Nashville area office. As a Senior Roadway Design Engineer, you will lead highway and roadway design projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries. You will also have the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for improving all modes of transportation. This is a Hybrid schedule with the opportunity to work remotely 2 days a week.

 + Provide technical oversight/support

 + Plan and manage tasks and team members

 + Coordinate with other disciplines

 + Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub consultants in the various assignments

 + Design roadway geometrics

 + Develop intersection designs

 + Create conceptual development plans

 + Prepare Maintenance of Traffic plans

 + Develop Right-of-way and Construction plans

 + Perform drainage design

 + Design erosion and sedimentation control measures

 + Conduct quality control reviews of design deliverables

 + Mentor junior engineers and technicians

 + Participate in project meetings and presentations

 + Contribute to proposal development and cost estimations

 + Stay current with industry standards and best practices

 + Manage client relationships and support business development efforts

 + Other related design tasks as required
