## About the Role

We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong practical engineering mindset and experience working within a manufacturing or product development environment. You'll ideally have experience with 3D CAD and be comfortable working collaboratively with engineers and manufacturing teams.

Key Requirements

 * Mechanical engineering/design experience within a manufacturing environment.
 * Strong Solidworks skills (Essential)
 * Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings.
 * Good understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM).
 * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
 * A practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
 * Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.

## Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering mechanical designs across a range of bespoke engineering projects. You'll work closely with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams, taking projects from initial concept through detailed design and into production.

The role will involve:

 * Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
 * Developing bespoke mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
 * Supporting projects from concept and design through to manufacture.
 * Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and fit for purpose.
 * Making design improvements and resolving technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
 * Working with suppliers and external stakeholders where required.
 * Supporting the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing designs.
 * Ensuring designs meet relevant engineering standards and customer requirements.
