## About the Role

* Experience writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL for large-scale enterprise databases.
 * Experience with Amazon Redshift and/or Amazon RDS PostgreSQL.
 * Strong expertise in PostgreSQL query performance tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, statistics, partitioning, and database optimization.
 * Experience writing PL/pgSQL stored procedures, functions, and database scripts.
 * Experience with Database Administration activities in PostgreSQL and/or Redshift.
 * Strong understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and Star/Snowflake schema design.
 * Experience with Git, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.
 * Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

 * Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and/or Web Intelligence (WebI).
 * Hands-on experience with AWS technologies including S3, Lambda, EMR, EC2, Kubernetes, Kinesis, etc.
 * Linux development experience.
 * Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
 * Python programming experience.
 * Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.

Educational Background:

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
