## About the Role

We're looking for a junior to mid-level experiencedsoftware automation engineer who demonstrates:

 * strong collaboration skills
 * a track record for high quality and impactful delivery demonstrating strong design skills and a passion for code quality
 * true craftsmanship, who enjoys breaking down tough problems
 * passion for producing quality code and dedicated to best practices such as automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
 * that they are an agent for change, constantly learning and seeking better outcomes
 * skill at interacting and working with people in a positive manner to mitigate key project technical risks and ensure quality

Requirements:

 * Has solid understanding of writing software in a system-level programming language (C, C++, Rust)
 * Proven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design)
 * Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Groovy, GitHub)
 * Experience with or a strong willingness to learn infrastructure automation and platform engineering technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and OpenStack
 * Proficient with Linux
 * Python or similar scripting language
 * Outstanding problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
 * Excellent teammate who enjoys a collaborative team environment

Relevant Experience:

 * 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development
 * 2+ years development in a system-level programming language
 * Working on an Agile software development team
 * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Bonus Skills:

 * Familiarity with DNS at the protocol level
 * Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
 * Exposure to behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Python Behave or Cucumber
