In this role, you will work across product, AI, and platform to help users build, evaluate, self-improve, deploy, and operate powerful agents inside Glean. This is a highly cross-functional role for engineers who like owning user-facing product experiences end to end while staying close to the underlying systems that make those experiences work. You will help shape how users create agents, how those agents run in auto-mode or independently, how they are evaluated and improved over time, and how we make them reliable, safe, and easy to deploy at scale. The role provides ample opportunities to work on some of the most important challenges in modern AI product development: building intuitive agent-authoring experiences, designing strong eval and feedback loops, enabling self-improvement flows, defining safe and scalable deployment patterns, and making complex agent behavior feel understandable, controllable, and effective for end users. Like the original role, this team values strong technical execution, customer impact, reliability, and thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, and system cost. You will: * Build end-to-end product experiences that help users create and configure AI agents for real work. * Design and ship workflows that help users evaluate agent quality, inspect results, and understand failure modes. * Build product loops that help agents improve over time through feedback, evals, optimization, and self-improvement primitives. * Help users deploy and operate both auto-mode agents and more independent agents with the right guardrails, controls, and visibility. * Work across frontend, backend, prompting, harness behaviour, infrastructure and product systems to turn agent capabilities into polished user experiences. * Partner closely with design, product, research, and go-to-market teams to identify high-value agent use cases and make them successful in practice. * Balance product ambition with engineering rigor, making thoughtful tradeoffs across quality, latency, trust, and cost., We are a diverse bunch of people and we want to continue to attract and retain a diverse range of people into our organization. We're committed to an inclusive and diverse company. We do not discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, disability, or race. AI-First Mindset at Glean: At Glean, AI fluency is core to how we work and we're committed to ensuring every new hire feels confident integrating AI into their everyday work. As part of the interview process, you'll complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion so we can understand how you think about, design, and use AI to drive impact in your role. Feel free to reference any tools, platforms, or workflows you use today - prior Glean experience isn't required.
