## About the Role

Do you have experience in Technical writing?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Required:

 * 5+ years of professional database administration experience
 * Advanced proficiency with SQL Server (design, optimization, administration, and troubleshooting)
 * Strong knowledge of T-SQL and stored procedure development
 * Hands-on experience managing multiple database platforms and data sources
 * Proven experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
 * Understanding of database security, user management, and compliance requirements
 * Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing/enterprise environment
 * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
 * Excellent communication and documentation skills
 * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Preferred:

 * Microsoft Azure database services experience (SQL Database, Managed Instance, or Synapse Analytics)
 * Experience with database monitoring and management tools (SQL Server Management Studio, Redgate, SolarWinds, etc.)
 * Knowledge of cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud database environments
 * Experience with advanced SQL Server features (Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, etc.)
 * Certifications such as Microsoft SQL Server Certification or equivalent
 * Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
 * Familiarity with database security compliance standards (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

## Description

 * Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server and other database management systems
 * Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies
 * Perform routine backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery testing to ensure data integrity and availability
 * Manage user access, security protocols, and implement database security best practices
 * Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation and procedures
 * Proactively identify and resolve database issues to minimize downtime and impact on business operations
 * Collaborate with application development teams to design efficient database schemas and optimize queries
 * Manage database migration projects and data transfers from legacy systems
 * Perform capacity planning and growth analysis to anticipate infrastructure needs
 * Support multiple data sources and heterogeneous database environments
 * Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions
 * Create and maintain automated maintenance jobs and monitoring alerts
 * Participate in strategic IT initiatives and provide technical recommendations for database platform improvements
