Competencies: + Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. + Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas. + Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. + Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. + High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. + Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products. + Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once. + High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures. + Product-oriented mindset, treating integration platforms as **enterprise products** with roadmaps, standards, and measurable outcomes. + Strong architectural judgment in balancing speed, scalability, cost, and risk. + Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, including **Generative AI** , and translate them into pragmatic enterprise solutions. + Trusted advisor to IT leadership and application teams. ## Description + Define and own the target-state integration architecture across middleware, API management, event streaming, and B2B platforms. + Serve as architectural authority for BizTalk replacement, API gateway modernization, and S/4HANA integration patterns. + Establish reusable integration patterns, reference architectures, and standards aligned to the Connect360 integration product. + Ensure integration solutions are decoupled from application-layer technologies (e.g., Mendix, OMS), which are owned by Application Development. + Partner with vendors + Define governance, security, and usage standards for AI-assisted integration tooling. + Lead design and governance of **API-first and event-driven integration architectures** supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP OMS, and external partners. + Collaborate with the API Platform Engineer to define API lifecycle standards, versioning, security, and observability. + Promote asynchronous, event-driven patterns where appropriate to reduce coupling and improve scalability. + Own integration patterns for **SAP S/4HANA inbound and outbound interfaces** , including APIs, IDocs, and events. + Ensure all SAP-related integrations align to enterprise middleware and API platforms, not point-to-point solutions., + Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead.
