## Description

We are looking for Lead Java Developers/Lead Software Engineers with strong hands-on development experience who can also provide technical leadership and strategic direction within a software engineering team., These are not simply senior Java developer positions. Candidates must be able to demonstrate genuine technical leadership, including:

 * Leading technical direction and decision-making within engineering teams
 * Providing technical guidance, mentoring and coaching to developers
 * Setting and promoting engineering standards, practices and development methods
 * Working closely with Architects, Principal Engineers and other technical teams
 * Contributing to medium- and long-term technical strategy
 * Making decisions around technology, tools, frameworks and engineering approaches
 * Identifying technical risks, dependencies and skills gaps
 * Driving adoption of new technologies and engineering best practice
 * Designing reusable services, libraries and solutions
 * Influencing stakeholders and communicating technical decisions effectively
