## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience as a Power BI Developer/Data Analytics Developer.
 * Advanced Power BI, DAX and Power Query experience.
 * Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling.
 * Good SQL skills and experience working with relational data sources.
 * Strong understanding of dashboard design and data visualisation best practices.
 * Experience working with complex operational or enterprise datasets.
 * Ability to translate business requirements into practical analytics and reporting solutions.
 * Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work directly with business users.
 * Understanding of data quality, reconciliation, metric definitions and reporting accuracy.
 * Active SC Clearance is essential.

Desirable

 * Experience with Azure data services.
 * Experience with Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS).
 * Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines.
 * Experience with Power BI gateways and refresh management.
 * Experience delivering governed self-service BI solutions.
 * Experience working within public sector, government or other highly regulated environments.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Developer - Power BI to design and develop reporting and analytics solutions that provide clear operational and management insight from complex data sources., * Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets.

 * Translate business requirements into effective dashboards, visualisations and reporting solutions.
 * Build robust data models, DAX measures and calculations using Power Query and DAX.
 * Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
 * Develop reusable reporting patterns to support a scalable analytics capability.
 * Optimise Power BI dashboards for performance, usability and user experience.
 * Work directly with business users, analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements through discovery and delivery.
 * Implement appropriate security and access controls, including Row-Level Security where required.
 * Define data-quality checks, reconciliation controls and clear definitions for key metrics.
 * Document dataset lineage, data dependencies, refresh processes and production support arrangements.
 * Support governed self-service reporting and ensure solutions follow appropriate reporting and data standards.
