ITS is a 24x7 information technology shop. Applicant must be willing and available to perform duties as required by the job. This may include work on nights, weekends and holidays. *Resume must be included with application to ensure consideration* Typical Duties + Builds, configures, deploys and supports physical or virtual Microsoft and Linux based servers or appliances, including local data storage and peripherals. + Performs troubleshooting to resolve server hardware and Operating System issues while making recommendations for corrective action and scheduling vendor service calls as needed. + Evaluates service requests, formulates solutions, documents steps taken and results using our ticketing platform while maintaining an acceptable Service Level Obligation completion percentage. + Manages OS and 1st party vulnerability remediation; Advises customers of 3rd party application vulnerabilities, the security exclusion process, and escalates unpatched vulnerabilities as required. + Participates as directed in projects and initiatives with ITS and other departments. + Develops/recommends server specifications, requests quotes, and submits purchase requests. + Assists in development and maintenance of processes and procedural documentation for ITS Server Support. + Provides insight and recommendations for technological direction and implementation. + Responsible for participating in the planning, building, and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures + Meets with customers to determine their needs and provide technical and non-technical information in a clear and professional format., How many years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems do you have?, Briefly describe your experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
