**Published:** August 19, 2026 - **Apply:** https://gaig.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/GAIG_External/job/Cincinnati-OH-USA/Data-Engineer_R9388 ## About the Role Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field., * Demonstrates proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, SQL, R, etc.). * Experience with cloud platforms and modern development frameworks. * Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica or similar technologies) * Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for structured and semi-structured data * Experience with Generative AI tools and agentic coding * Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data engineering solutions. * Maintain an understanding of machine learning concepts and their software engineering implications. * Knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance. * Provide technical expertise across a range of applications, systems, and technologies. * Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues. * Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures, as well as the business and organization. * Ability to communicate, develop, and leverage strategic business relationships across the organization and externally. * Experience working with enterprise data systems or policy/insurance data platforms is a plus * Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., UC4 or similar schedulers) is a plus * Data visualization development/design experience (Tableau Preferred) is a plus ## Description * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architectures, primarily leveraging cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake * Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and integrate data from internal systems and external data sources, ensuring data is readily available for analytics use cases * Automate recurring operational reporting processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and reduce manual effort * Support data engineering needs for predictive analytics and machine learning initiatives, including feature engineering, data preparation, and model enablement * Assist in modernizing data platforms by supporting migration from legacy systems to cloud-based data architectures * Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization * Provide advanced technical support to end users and team members by resolving data-related issues in a timely manner. * Serve as a trusted advisor in the development of predictive analytics, AI, generative AI, and machine learning models. * Engage, as needed, with our AI Automation Hub, AI Innovation Lab, AI Champions, and delivery teams to develop and implement high-impact AI solutions * Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. * Perform other duties as assigned. ## Related Videos -
