Our programs empower all girls to be gamechangers in their own lives and in their communities. We strive to serve girls year-round and over the long-term and offer a continuum of programs for girls at each stage in their development. About the Position Girls in the Game seeks a creative, detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational and communication skills to join our development team as the Development & Events Manager. This role oversees key aspects of the organization's individual giving efforts, including the Individual Giving program and major gifts strategy, while also playing a leading role in the planning and execution of Girls in the Game's two largest fundraising events: the Field of Dreams gala and the Chip in for Girls golf outing. The Development & Events Manager oversees the Chicago Auxiliary Board, Girls in the Game's young professionals group, supporting members in hosting fundraising events, peer-to-peer campaigns, and friendraiser opportunities throughout the year. In addition, this role provides oversight of the organization's Charity Race Team, managing communication and engagement with runners fundraising for Girls in the Game both locally through the Chicago Marathon and through international races. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is flexible, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. They should enjoy building relationships with individuals and groups, bring a strong sense of collaboration and humor to their work, and be excited to identify new creative strategies to grow Girls in the Game's development efforts. Because this is a highly external-facing role, candidates who thrive on engaging new audiences and representing the organization in the community will be especially successful. Girls in the Game is seeking a full-time Development & Events Manager to do the following: Major Events: Field of Dreams Gala and Chip in for Girls Golf Outing Support * Oversee all aspects of planning and execution in collaboration with the Development Director and planning committees, guiding sponsorship and sales and associated marketing benefits. * Assist with overall event coordination, including managing logistics and organizing silent auction items. * Support ongoing communication with the event committee and oversee day of logistics * Ensure event revenue goals are met through strong donor and sponsor engagement. * Develop post-event stewardship strategies to convert participants into ongoing donors. Individual Giving * Collaborate with the Director of Development and the Development Team to develop and refine solicitation and stewardship materials. * Manage donation data entry in Salesforce, including weekly payout reports and monthly reports from external sources. * Engage donors and potential donors at programming events * Represent Girls in the Game at networking events, community outreach, and media opportunities to raise visibility for the organization. Management of the Chicago Auxiliary Board * Recruit, onboard and engage Auxiliary Board members from diverse backgrounds and professional industries. * Facilitate bi-monthly meetings, track board financials, and guide overall board engagement. * Provide fundraising training and ongoing support to board members. * Plan and execute two annual events for 60-100 guests and coordinate the Auxiliary Board's annual March Madness virtual fundraiser. * Develop and maintain relationships with board members' employers to explore coporate giving, sponsorship, and volunteer engagement opportunities Charity Race Team * Lead the Charity Race Team program including recruitment and ongoing support of participants in their fundraising efforts * Support team members with online fundraising tools, strategies, and engagement * Coordinate Girls in the Game's presence at partner races in Chicago and internationally Partner Events/Cause Marketing * Lead in the planning and scheduling of partner and cause marketing events throughout the year, working with Development Coordinator for execution ## Related Videos - [Developing the Rich Text Editor for DeepL.com](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1172-developing-the-rich-text-editor-for-deepl-com) - [Kill Your WordPress.
