The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience optimizing Java services across JDK versions and working with AWS cloud environments., * Plan and execute JDK migrations across Java service fleets. * Identify and resolve compatibility issues involving deprecated APIs, modules, reflection, security providers, and build systems. * Perform heap right-sizing and JVM memory optimization while maintaining performance SLAs. * Analyze GC logs and evaluate GC algorithms such as ZGC, G1GC, and Shenandoah. * Troubleshoot class-loading, serialization, JNI/native library, and JVM performance issues. * Monitor latency, throughput, availability, and service health during migrations and optimization. * Collaborate with engineering teams and technical leadership to develop migration and optimization strategies. * Conduct performance experiments, validate metrics, and provide actionable recommendations. * Create runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation, and JVM optimization guidelines. * Ensure Java services maintain performance, reliability, and availability throughout migration activities.
