## About the Role

* 5+ years of professional software development experience
 * 3+ years of hands-on Laravel experience in production
 * Strong proficiency with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
 * Strong experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
 * Good understanding of software architecture, OOP and secure development practices
 * Experience with Git and modern software development workflows
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Comfortable working independently while collaborating across a wider team

Nice to Have

Experience within healthcare isn't essential, but exposure to any of the following would be particularly valuable:

 * Healthcare technology, digital health or clinical software
 * Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)
 * HIPAA and healthcare data security
 * EHR/EMR integrations
 * Third-party healthcare APIs
 * AWS or Azure
 * Docker and CI/CD pipelines
 * Agile development environments

## Description

You'll play a key role in developing and improving secure, scalable healthcare applications, with responsibilities including:

 * Design, develop, test and deploy applications using PHP, Laravel, MySQL and JavaScript
 * Build scalable backend services, REST APIs and database architectures
 * Develop responsive and intuitive frontend functionality
 * Own troubleshooting and resolution of complex application issues
 * Improve application performance, reliability and security
 * Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems and external APIs
 * Work closely with product and business stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions
 * Contribute to product planning, technical design and release management

Technical Leadership

This is more than a heads-down development position. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the engineering function operates by:

 * Contributing to architectural decisions and coding standards
 * Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers
 * Evaluating new technologies and recommending improvements
 * Participating in Agile development, sprint planning and project estimation
 * Communicating technical concepts effectively across technical and non-technical teams
