## About the Role

* Hands-on experience with 3E Legal Accounting Software (required).
 * Minimum of 2 years of cash application experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
 * Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
 * Excellent data entry, organizational, and time management skills.
 * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

 * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must successfully pass a background check and credit check as a condition of employment.

## Description

* Apply incoming payments, including checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, to client accounts and invoices accurately and timely.
 * Reconcile daily cash receipts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
 * Partner with Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Client Services teams to resolve unapplied or misapplied payments.
 * Communicate with clients, attorneys, and internal team members regarding payment details, account status, and remittance information.
 * Process one-time credit card payments received by mail and email.
 * Coordinate the transmittal of checks to the bank.
 * Process account adjustments and corrections as needed.
 * Maintain accurate documentation and records of all cash application activities.
 * Identify opportunities to improve cash application processes and enhance operational efficiency.
