Experience with Business intelligence development tools such as tableau and SAS and programming tools such as R, Python, and SQL., 4-8 years of experience developing business intelligence and analytics solutions, preferably within healthcare. 3+ years of experience working with Databricks AI/BI Dashboards and AI-assisted analytics. Expert-level SQL programming skills, including writing, optimizing, and performance-tuning complex queries. Experience developing dashboards, reports, and semantic models using Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI visualization tools. Experience with Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse architecture. Experience creating materialized views and optimizing analytics solutions for performance. Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS. Experience with Python/PySpark for data transformation and automation. Understanding of star schemas, semantic models, and business intelligence best practices. Experience with source control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps. Understanding of data governance, security, and data management principles. Knowledge of healthcare payer operations, terminology, and data structures, including claims, membership, provider, clinical, and financial data. Experience working within Agile development methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Who you are: As a Business Intelligence Developer for Johns Hopkins Health Plans, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable business intelligence and analytics solutions built on the Databricks platform. You will partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to transform healthcare data into actionable insights through modern data analytics and visualization solutions. You have the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, develop efficient semantic models, and build interactive dashboards that enable data-driven decision making. You are a problem solver with a passion for modern cloud data technologies and continuous learning.
