Do you have experience in Electronic health record (EHR) management for billing and coding?, * Hands-on experience with Avatar (Netsmart) EHR, billing and fiscal modules specifically

 * Understanding of revenue cycle management in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 * High degree of accuracy in financial data handling
 * Strong written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

 * Salesforce experience
 * Experience with CCBHC, OASAS, or Medicaid billing environments
 * Familiarity with fiscal reporting in a nonprofit or government-funded organization
 * Experience with EHR-to-billing system integrations (e.g., LabCorp, remittance systems)
 * Understanding of compliance requirements for behavioral health billing

## Description

The RCM Systems Administrator is a full-time role dedicated to the administration, configuration, and optimization of Avatar (Netsmart) EHR as it relates to revenue cycle management, billing workflows, and fiscal reporting. This position works at the intersection of information technology and finance to ensure billing system integrity, reduce revenue cycle friction, and support accurate financial reporting.

This is an exclusively Avatar-trained role. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on experience with Avatar's billing and fiscal modules and can serve as an internal subject matter expert., Avatar EHR - Billing & Fiscal Administration

 * Configure and maintain Avatar billing workflows, fee schedules, and payer setups
 * Administer user access for billing-related functions within Avatar
 * Support claims processing accuracy, denial management workflows, and remittance reconciliation
 * Identify and resolve system-level billing errors or configuration issues
 * Manage billing-related updates including fee changes and payer workflow adjustments

Revenue Cycle Support

 * Partner with the finance team to ensure billing data integrity and revenue accuracy
 * Support fiscal reporting requirements including payer-specific and regulatory reports
 * Assisting tracking and resolving outstanding billing issues with payers and vendors

 * Support 2-5 hours per week of direct finance team collaboration (Susana, Jess)

Documentation & Compliance

 * Maintain billing configuration documentation and SOPs
 * Participate in system audits and compliance reviews
 * Support internal training on Avatar billing functionality as needed
 * Contribute to audit readiness for fiscal and clinical compliance
