## About the Role

Experience: 3+ years of Data Center estimating experience
Employer Background: General Contractor experience required, * 3+ years of estimating experience specifically within the Data Center / Mission Critical sector.

 * Previous experience working for a General Contractor is required.
 * Strong understanding of commercial construction and subcontractor scopes.
 * Experience estimating large-scale, complex projects.
 * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
 * Strong understanding of construction costs, labor, materials and subcontractor pricing.
 * Excellent communication and organizational skills.
 * Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
 * Proficiency with relevant estimating and construction software.

## Description

We are seeking a Senior Estimator with proven experience estimating large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical projects to join a growing General Contractor in Houston, Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to work on complex, high-value data center projects and play a key role throughout the preconstruction and estimating process.
Candidates must be willing to relocate to Houston, TX., * Lead estimating activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical projects.

 * Develop detailed conceptual, schematic and final estimates.
 * Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project documentation.
 * Develop accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
 * Solicit, evaluate and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
 * Identify scope gaps, risks, exclusions and opportunities.
 * Work closely with preconstruction, project management, design and operations teams.
 * Prepare detailed bid packages and subcontractor scopes.
 * Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing.
 * Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
 * Support project budgeting, forecasting and procurement strategies.
 * Participate in client and design team meetings throughout the preconstruction process.
 * Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered within required deadlines., Candidates currently outside Houston will be considered, provided they are willing to relocate to Houston.
