This role will be responsible for the accurate processing, maintenance, storage, retrieval, scanning, indexing, and analysis of Protected Health Information (PHI) and patient medical records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with healthcare teams while maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of patient information., * Experience with medical record maintenance, storage, and retrieval. * Hands-on experience with scanning and indexing. * Knowledge of Release of Information (ROI) processes. * Experience with record analysis and deficiency management. * Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in patient records. * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Ability to prioritize work based on urgency and patient needs. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and healthcare teams. * Strong understanding of patient medical record accuracy and confidentiality. Education & Qualifications Required: * High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: * 1 year of related experience. * 1 3 years of progressive Health Information Management (HIM) experience. * Current student in an AHIMA-accredited program. * RHIT, RHIA, CCA, or CCS certification. * Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be professional, organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused, with the ability to manage sensitive health information accurately and efficiently.
