Employee Assistance Programs, The Shop Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, primarily flooring equipment. This includes diagnosing complex equipment problems while adhering to all safety rules. The role ensures equipment is in optimal working condition for rental customers, minimizing downtime. The technician should possess comprehensive knowledge of all shop equipment offerings and be proficient in diagnosing issues.
Responsibilities

 * Service and oversee major repairs of all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition when leaving the shop.
 * Dismantle and reassemble/rebuild equipment, fabricate parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs.
 * Diagnose complex mechanical equipment problems.
 * Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime in the field.
 * Perform safety inspections on equipment.
 * Maintain a clean and safe shop work environment.
 * Provide support to other mechanics engaged in equipment repairs or maintenance.
 * Assess time and cost of repairs.
 * May specialize in specific types of large equipment in large Profit Centers.
