Clearance All applicants for this position must possess an active Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects. ## Description The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with TS/SCI, FS (Network Engineering, Associate) to support a federal government client in the Washington, DC metro area. This position currently requires a full on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. We are proactively identifying and engaging with qualified candidates. While candidates may be contacted for pre-screening, any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval. Responsibilities The on-site Network Engineer shall perform the following minimum duties: * Assisting the System Administrators * Assisting the Lead Network Engineer in developing and implementing IT/network plans * Managing network operations using simple network management protocol (SNMP) network management tools * Diagnosing and troubleshooting network problems with network protocol capture/decode analyzers * Planning and building network from open system interconnect (OSI) Layer 1 through Layer 3 * Managing TCP/IP internetworking connectivity to include addressing and subnetting * Monitoring network as defined in the network monitoring plan * Installing, configuring, updating and documenting the physical cable plant. Installing, configuring and managing networking hardware (switches, bridges, hubs, concentrators, transceivers).
